The IO-24, IO-48, O-48, and CBC-8 cards are the heart of the RCI system. With these cards and a variety of powerful add-ons, anything on your railroad can be controlled - trains, turnouts, signals, crossings, control panels, and other accessories. Flexibility to add computer control anywhere on your layout.

The new CBC-8R Computerized Block Controller card provides the easiest way ever to implement a train control system. It combines throttles, block detectors, overload detection, and computer interface on a single card. Just hook it to the track, connect an interface cable to your RS-4 converter, hook up power wires, and you have a complete 8-block control and detection system. Works with Railroad and Co. and our soon-to-be-available "Railroad Operator"!  A copy of the CBC-8R User's Manual is available on our Documents page.

The IO-24 is now available. The IO-24 is an ultra-compact input/output card with a number of new features, including support for both common cathode and common anode signal wiring, along with traffic lights, strobe lights, and "chase" lights. The powerful outputs can even drive stall motor and some types of solenoid switch machines directly. And, it can now be equipped with plug-in connectors, which provide the convenience of screw terminals with a quick-disconnect capability.

Our BD-8D and BD-8T  are now available. The BD-8D can be used as a totally stand-alone detector for 8 blocks (compare its low cost to the cost of 8 individual detectors). Two may also be plugged into our IO-48 to tie into your computer system.  And - It can directly drive panel indicators while still feeding occupancy information to your computer.  The BD-8T is an ultra low cost detector for 8 blocks that can be tied in easily to the IO-24 card.

The HP-8 high-current driver is now available for controlling motors and those high-current solenoids found in some switch motors.

The  O-48 card may be used with the current version of Railroad & Co or Railroad Operator! This may be the card you need for those output-intensive applications. 48 full-function outputs on a single card - click on O-48 in the left column to read all about it.

New Flexi-Connectors make hookup of the IO-48 and O-48 even easier, while providing built in resistors for your signals.  With the "pull-up" resistor options, the flexi connector can drive common cathode signals directly or operate stall motor switch machines with no additional circuitry or wiring!
